Job SummaryThe Business Analyst position is responsible for understanding business process management and business requirements of the client. This role requires very strong technical skills, coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of the client's needs so that they can be transformed into application and operational requirements.Essential Job Duties Use strong reasoning to understand end user's requirements and transform them into operational application Acquire deep knowledge of working systems to bring efficient and effective changes to better performance Extract, analyze, and report data to support program activity and assist in management decision making Audit, evaluate, track and report program implementation and project activity for Quality Assurance and contract compliance purposes Plan, implement, and maintain program and contractual changes Work closely with operations and systems staff to define requirements, test criteria, and success factors Analyze existing systems, programs, policies, and organizational processes for inefficiencies and make recommendations to technical staff for design and development of new integrated system requirements Write client process change requests and document as needed Create business requirement artifacts (requirement trace ability matrix, business requirements document, process flow, etc.) and work with business subject matter experts and program resources to ensure business requirements are clearly understood Preform other duties as assigned by managementEducation and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree, required At least two (2) years of related experience preferred Experience working on projects in non-BA roles such as, systems analyst, quality assurance tester, or data analyst Experience in writing business requirements include creation of business requirement artifacts such as a BRD (business requirements document), process flows, uses cases, etc. Business process modeling preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills Strong negotiation skills
