MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A SECRET CLEARANCE - US CITIZENS ONLY

Provide electrical design services to support the RDX Expansion program which includes multiple projects to design and commission new chemical manufacturing facilities. This position will work under the direction of an electrical engineer and project teams to develop drawings and specifications for power and instrumentation systems. The position will develop equipment specifications for construction bid packages on projects which are designed by BAE Systems. For projects designed by external firms the position would review specifications & submittals from design firms and vendors.



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create design drawings in CADD and equipment specifications
  • Support development of subcontract scopes of work, estimates, and proposals
  • Support development of construction and commissioning plans
  • Review design submittals from design firms, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Support development of test, commissioning, and operational plans and procedures
  • Develop drawings for wiring systems, wire-way, and conduit
  • Develop PLC wiring drawings, motor circuit drawings, and conduit/wireway plans
  • Participate in internal and external design and program reviews



Required Education / Experience:
  • Associates degree in electrical technology
  • 5+ year(s) related experience in the electrical, instrument, and control systems design of chemical plant facilities
  • Expertise in AutoCADD, Microstation, and Microsoft excel software
  • Knowledge of design in hazardous locations & National Electrical Code

Preferred Education / Experience:
  • 10+ year(s) related experience in the electrical, instrument, and control systems design of chemical plant facilities
