Job Description


Jnr Accountant – Partner Accounting
  • Prepares, compiles, analyzes, and reconciles Partner financial information including Partner distributions.
  • Assist with the determination of Partner capitalization process.
  • Track and maintain lateral Partner capital deals.
  • Prepares cash flow analysis for new and lateral Partners.
  • Assist with the quarterly dissemination of information to the outside accountants.
  • Prepare and analysis Partner income.
  • Prepares and maintains Partner quarterly Income memos and various income reports using Excel spreadsheets and the Partner accounting system.
  • Maintains accurate Partner records and supporting materials for prepared schedules.
  • Understands and utilizes the Partner accounting system features in order to handle requests for information.
  • Provides inter-departmental support in analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts relating to partner distribution/payment accounts.
  • Supports preparing year-end income and capital schedules to facilitate the production of the Federal and State partnership returns, as well as related K-1s.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual Partner accounts budget.
  • Spearheading special projects related to the Partner accounting system developments.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Ability to learn and train in various PC applications
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Flexibility to travel
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs

Experience/Education
  • Bachelor's degree, in accounting, finance
  • One-year related experience; internships acceptable
Targeting a base salary of $60K-$65K
