Senior Systems Engineer-Robotics Systems

The Systems Engineer will participate in the development, validation, and implementation of robotic systems for commercial, military, and industrial robotic applications.
The Systems Engineer will also assist in the requirements development and validation testing of new products.
Duties / Responsibilities: The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, test, integration, and development support of electronic and electro-mechanical robotic systems. The successful candidate is capable of performing a wide range of systems engineering functions, including requirements management, reliability engineering, and test engineering. Our engineers participate in multi-disciplined integrated product teams working closely with Program Managers and Systems, Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Process, and Manufacturing Engineers.
Duties may include: The development of requirements and system test documentation, safety analysis reports, system FMEAs, and technical analyses against requirementsDeveloping software test plans and test applicationsRunning a system reliability program; gathering and analyzing reliability dataManaging key product performance factors such as cost and weight at a system levelTest, debug, and production support of digital and analog circuitry and modulesVerifying and validating component and system performance to specificationsDevelopment of test fixtures to validate complex electro-mechanical systemsSoftware troubleshooting and resolving issues on deliverable productDefining and implementing design or process changes
Required Skills: Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer EngineeringSolid Electrical / Computer Engineering background, including at least five years of relevant industry experienceStrong electrical hardware and software knowledgeSolid programming skillsWorking knowledge of Military Standards, such as MIL-STD-882, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464Ability to work independently and manage priorities on multiple tasksExperience generating an FMEA and supporting data, along with proposing improvements based on FMEA outputExperience managing requirements and validation of complex systemsExperience in system reliability analysis using both calculated and measured dataFamiliar with test equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, signal sources, spectrum analyzersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a team environment
Desired Skills: Working knowledge of Microcontrollers and C programmingSensor integration and signal conditioning experience desiredVehicle integration or machine automation experience is a plusExperience with radio communications, RF / wireless design, and analog processing is a plusFamiliar with Data Collection and Analysis tools MATLAB, LabViewExperience working with C++ and/or C#Ability to design electrical or mechanical hardware for use in test fixturesDigital design using embedded processors, DSPs, or FPGAs with VHDL or VerilogKnowledge of Electrical Engineering Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools ORCAD, Altium, PADS, Allegro
