Branch, CAJob Summary Responsible for underwriting new business, as well as, line increases renewals and reviews for existing Borrowers Support Relationship Manager in monitoring assigned loan portfolio.Job Description Underwrite all assigned loan requests (at initiation, renewal, review, extension, etc.) for submission to credit approvers including appropriate due diligence, financial and collateral analysis. Conduct appropriate due diligence on Borrowers, Owners, and Management, at initiation and annually (including assistance with preparation of AARs) using available internal and external resources, including relevant internet sites with access to public records and press. Monitor the credit quality of the assigned portfolio and report any material issues to the Relationship Manager and Group Head (or designee), in accordance with bank policy, making recommendations. Address all events of default in a timely manner with appropriate credit actions taken, including documentation; Follow the Bank s procedures regarding risk rating changes, Notification of Potential Problems and preparation for quarterly Watch List discussions, as necessary. Monitor for timely receipt of financial reporting, including field exams and collateral appraisals from borrowers and guarantors, as well as, scheduling of collateral and field exams, promptly reviewing completed reports for material change in financial or collateral quality. Meet deadlines as established by the Group Head, or designee, to insure sound customer service practices and competitive responsiveness. Along with the Relationship Manager, review documentation prior to booking of a loan for accuracy and consistency with approval conditions. Back up Relationship Managers, as needed, for approval of overdrafts and wires. Assist Group Head, or designee, with preparation for external and internal audits and loan reviews. Assist Group Head, or designee, with special projects, as assigned. Join the Relationship Manager on client calls (phone or in person) as necessary, to insure full understating of the client s operations and borrowing needs. Ensure adherence to all auditing and compliance requirements, including all BSA/ AML/ KYC requirements.Minimum Qualifications 3-5 years direct C & I underwriting experience: Demonstrated skilled in financial analysis customary for assessing mid-size, closely held companies cash flow and collateral coverage Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to work in a team environment. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments. Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and comfort engaging with owners, CEOs and CFOs Minimum BA degree with relevant courses in accounting and finance; MBA preferred for VP designation.
