Director, Imaging - Clinical Biomarkers/Translational MedicineWe have an immediate need for a scientific expert to function as the Director of Imaging within the Clinical Biomarker group. The candidate is expected to have expertise in diverse in vivo imaging methodologies and experience with applications in early clinical imaging. The lead will be working in a dynamic, cross- functional environment within the clinical development team to implement biomarker strategies for our clinical assets.Key Responsibilities As the translational imaging expert, the clinical scientist will have expertise in the drug development process with a particular focus on imaging biomarkers to enhance the discovery and development processes. Demonstrated scientific expertise in MRI, PET, CT, and optical imaging methods, and their use, execution, analysis, and interpretation in clinical trials. Collaborate with Research on development of translational biomarker plans. Coordinate with Clinical Pharmacology, Biostatistics and Modeling & Simulation to support quantitative pharmacological approaches during clinical development. Serve as a key member of project teams, providing expert input to teams and guiding clinical development of novel biomarkers. Manage work with CRO for timely development of biomarkers and implementation in clinical studies.Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated scientific expertise in MRI, PET, CT, and optical imaging methods, and their use, execution, analysis, and interpretation in clinical trials Demonstrated experience with design, execution and analysis of biomarkers of target engagement, safety, pharmacodynamics, and efficacy. Innovative and able to think creatively with a strong drive toward decision making. Effective at building alliances across functions, based on end-to-end drug development experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to drive global collaborations across a matrixed organization. Preferably a PhD and/or MD with biomarker development experience (at least 3-5 years post-degree industry experience in the development and execution of Biomarker strategies).
