Reporting to the Human Resources Director in Canada, the Human Resources Business Partner shall be responsible for Human Resources (HR) activities for our client in Quebec and throughout all provinces in Canada. In this new role, you will support the implementation of a people strategy and people programs for our client in line with its mission, values and culture. You will support programs to ensure effective talent acquisition and retention, support the development of capabilities and create an environment that fosters an engaged workforce in a performance culture. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Director in building the credibility of the HR function by providing valued input on HR matters impacting the business, particularly those impacting the corporate culture, team member engagement and retention. Work with the business to help and develop role profiles. Facilitate recruitment and selection process including coaching and partnering with hiring managers. Liaise with Recruitment agencies as required and complete candidate reference and background checks. Prepare offer letters for new hires, promotion and transfers ensuring all are complete. Works with the Director to provide salary recommendations to hiring manager for new hires, promotions and transfers. Will be main point of contact for all team members on Canadian benefit plans acting as a resource for troubling shooting, resolution of problems and inquiries. Will support the Director in the management of all disability, workers compensation and CSST claims. Act as a partner and coach to the business on Talent Management; including performance management, PIP, and employee development plans. Provide guidance, direction and coaching to all Team Members on employment related matters including; interpretation of company policies, procedures and Collective Agreements. Maintain a high level of communication with all Team Members and support roll-out of various corporate initiatives. Partner with the HR Operations team to prepare and formulate report on HR metrics and ensure reporting requirements are maintained. Partner with the Rewards team in the United States to assist in the design and communication of a competitive compensation and benefits package to attract and retain talent within our industry Support people managers through training, coaching and the alignment of their goals with the organizations. Establish and manage all other HR administration, including team member files and records in accordance with privacy legislation. Partner with the Human Resources Director to ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Employment Standards and other relevant legislation in Quebec and across Canada.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Post-secondary program in Human Resources Management with 5 years of HR experience within a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated experience administering HR programs, including; compensation, benefits, recruitment, performance management, talent development. Ability to interpret Collective Agreements and experience in a unionized environment would be an asset. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism. Experience working with a US based company an asset. Strong knowledge of employment legislation in Quebec including; Human Rights, Health & Safety, CSST, etc. Strong Microsoft Office proficiency. Ability to establish credibility quickly and build trust with all stakeholders. Excellent and proven interpersonal, communication, problems solving and presentation skills. Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Excellent customer service focus and a true collaborative team player. Successful as both an individual contributor and as a member of the team. Must be fully bilingual (French/English). Ability to travel as required.
