Job Description: Develop production floor designs, processes, and equipment. Manage current production line flow and equipment. Work with Operations Excellence Teams (OETs) to improve current processes to reduce Hour Per Unit (HPU) and improve quality.



Candidate must have a 4 year engineering degree from an accredited college or university.

Candidate must be able to develop and implement Manufacturing Process Plans (MPP's) for a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Candidate must utilize basic drafting and software programs to develop MPP's, design tooling, support equipment, process flows.

Candidate must provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance.

Candidate must apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields.

Candidate must have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.



The individual will be responsible for the following: Analyzing and developing production plans/line configuration based on program milestones. Creating assembly work instructions based on the drawings and/or models. Providing technical guidance and timely problem resolution in support of manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance. Supporting the investigation of root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement. Working closely with the Industrial Engineering team to create and/or update simulations to analyze production requirements, bottlenecks, and process improvements Applying lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. May be required to develop cost estimates in support of proposals.



Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Aerospace Engineering or related field.



Experience Developing Production plans.

Experience in a Manufacturing environment.

Excellent verbal/written communications skills.

Experience generating/implementing process improvements.

Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques.

Self-starter with demonstrated self-initiated goals and results.

Demonstrated capability to multitask in support of multiple concurrent programs and initiatives.

Microsoft Office suite experience with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.



Desired: Familiarity with SAP (Qnotes, Routings, Bills of material) - Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification - Work Measurement and Labor Standards - Experience with Simulation software.
