Responsibilities: New vessel concept design and analysis Existing vessel upgrades and analysis Hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analysis Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards Specification preparation Develop and validate design and engineering requirements Coordinate with management, engineering, and business development Hull form development Resistance and powering estimates Seakeeping analysis At-sea testing and trials Weight and stability analysis Damaged stability analysis Structural design Create and develop SolidWorks 3D models and associated 2D drawings for existing and new products. CAD support for existing and new productsRequired Experience and Skills Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative Able to work in teams or individually Interest in developing new technology Must have good technical writing and professional communication skills . Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) . Ability to work under limited supervision. Sheet metal and Aluminum boat building or marine experience a plus. CFD experience a plus. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Available to travel, with a current passport or able to obtain one Able to obtain a security clearance Bachelor s degree in Naval Architecture, or equivalent from an accredited college or university. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence.
