Summary
  • Deploy, develop, and maintain all of the global manufacturing systems
  • Work with Design Engineers to focus on fiber terminations and connections
  • Follow all product roadmaps to ensure all manufacturing is flexible and capable
  • Help with R&D to help drive new manufacturing processes as well as new methods and ideas

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Use engineering knowledge to help drive company programs
  • Create new ideas to fix manufacturing problems
  • Develop and implement cost-effective solutions for all ranges of manufacturing issues
  • Design, develop and use tools, strategies and systems that can be implemented into the company s manufacturing processes
  • Develop and implement new inspection methods and requirements into production
  • Analyzes and corrects any tooling, equipment, or machine issues to help develop new ways to fix them
  • Adds new vendor technology and knowledge into the manufacturing processes to help drive down costs, up efficiency, and add to capacity
  • Bring new ideas, technology and concepts to product development and implementation
  • Use DFA, DFM, and DFT concepts to enhance entire global production capabilities in highly technical manufacturing company
  • Serve as a technical leader to manufacturing and engineering personnel
  • Represents company in important areas to ensure that all company goals and initiatives are met

Required Qualifications
  • BS in Engineering required
  • 12 years experience with a BS, 8 years experience with an MS
  • Strong experience with manufacturing and production environments
  • Experience with fiber cables and connector manufacturing
  • Be able to work with all levels of both internal and external teams
  • Be able to travel on a regular basis for international company needs
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Semi-automated production experience
  • DFMA
  • Six Sigma Projects
  • FMEA
