Position Title Sr. Regulatory Application Developer

Overview

Seeking a developer to work within a team that designs, develops, and supports bank infrastructure for a highly ranked, Manhattan-based financial institution. Applicants must be available some nights and weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support to regulatory reporting team using a data mart and ETL code
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and propose tech solutions to meet regulatory reporting requirements
  • Interpret business requirements to produce detailed system requirements, specifications, data flow diagrams, test plans, and process diagrams using standardized documentation methods
  • Ensure that proposed solutions comply with the company s technology direction and security policies
  • Develop and support DataStage Sequencers and Parallel jobs using different stages
  • Tune ETL jobs and SQL queries for optimization
  • Contribute to design and code reviews
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the capabilities and constraints of existing systems and proposed solutions
  • Identify and communicate technical risks, issues, and changes
  • Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment
  • Ensure that production support issues are minimized through continuous improvement refinements to the platform

Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of experience building DataStage jobs
  • Experience supporting IHC or BHC regulatory reporting
  • Experience in IT strategy and architecture planning preferred
  • Knowledge of PL SQL, SSIS, MSQL, and TWS preferred
  • Unix scripting knowledge required
