The candidate will be responsible for performing Structural Dynamics analysis and testing of top level assemblies, subsystems, and components on one or more programs. Tasks include performing preliminary and detailed structural analysis on component and assemblies using standardized processes and tools, as well as supporting testing that accompanies the program and analysis efforts Mechanical Engineering tasks assigned will include the dynamics analysis efforts supporting the development of missile configurations, generation of finite element models (FEM) and performing structural dynamic analyses, generation of classical structural dynamics analysis, and evaluation of design for issues or possible alternate design approaches. Tasks involving the missile canister are also likely. Additional experience performing tasks such as missile tip-off analysis, modal analysis, flexible flight loads, and test plan development/test support. Tasks also include performing preliminary and detailed structural and dynamic analysis on component and assemblies using standardized processes and tools. Tasks may also include providing support for structural or dynamic testing of systems, subsystems, and components. Candidate will perform structural and dynamic analysis using standardized analysis software tools and coordinate requirements and design solutions with program personnel. Experienced with relevant analytic tools for structural and dynamics analysis. Mandatory:-Must be a US Citizen. -Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other related field. -Candidate must have at least 9 years of professional experience (aerospace industry preferred). -Experience with structural dynamic analysis of assembly systems, subsystems, and components. -Experience with structural dynamic testing of structural assemblies, sub-assemblies and components. -Experience with core structural software (Nastran and / or Abaqus). -Experience with core or second tier pre and post processing tools (Ansa, Meta, Hypermesh, Patran, FEMAP, etc.). -Experience with CAD modeling (example PTC Pro-Engineer CREO) -Experience performing analysis of hardware made from a multitude of structural materials used in the aerospace industry. -Experience with Microsoft Office (i.E. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Desired:-MS or Ph.D. Degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.-Strength in structural analysis with a desire to learn more and demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills.-Exposure or Experience desirable with rigid body dynamics tools (ADAMS).-Experience performing structural and dynamics analysis using classical methods.
