Job Description
The Panther Group has an immediate need for a Controls Automation Engineer for a major client located just outside of Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate would be able to be onsite several days per week and able to travel up to 40%.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Work with multiple cross functional engineers to bring a solution from concept to reality.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to integrate conveyer control solutions, automated material handling equipment, and autonomous vehicles.
- The ability to create and maintain electrical schematic drawings.
- Must be able to develop and debug controls system software in ladder logic, ST.
- Ability to provide technical expertise in controls and electrical engineering.
- Perform on-site commissioning support & necessary electrical field wiring when required.
SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with the following programming languages: Ladder Logic, Structured Text
- PLC Programming on Rockwell Platforms Studio 5000/ RSLogix5000 is a must.
- Experience in Programming Material Handling systems like conveyors, sorters, MDRs is preferred.
- Experience with Schematics Design in AutoCAD.
- Ability to Assist during equipment commissioning with wiring, installation occasionally.
- Familiarity with commissioning VFDs, PLCs, Remote, Barcode Scanners and establish communications via Ethernet IP, Device Net and Profibus communication protocols.
- The job will require up to a maximum of 30-40% travel.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors or Masters in: Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or 3+ years of experience in control systems engineering, PLC programming
