The Panther Group is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support a fast-paced and growing data center environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician with strong cabling and hardware installation experience who enjoys working with cutting-edge IT infrastructure.

The Panther Group is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support a fast-paced and growing data center environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician with strong cabling and hardware installation experience who enjoys working with cutting-edge IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, rack, and configure servers, switches, and other IT hardware within data center environments
- Perform structured cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fiber optic installations
- Terminate cables and maintain distribution frames following industry standards
- Read and interpret build documents, schematics, and cable routing diagrams
- Conduct system installation, configuration, testing, and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and system changes
- Ensure compliance with ESD standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members and provide support or guidance to junior technicians as needed
- 3+ years of experience in data center cabling and rack/stack environments
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards and best practices
- Experience working with fiber and copper cabling and testing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
- Hands-on experience with server and network hardware installation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- BICSI certification or similar industry credentials
- Experience troubleshooting data center hardware and connectivity issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Warehouse/data center environment
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working with tools, cabling, and hardware installations
