Position will require providing electro-mechanical Design Drafting support. The creation of new, as well as modifying existing, designs and drawings in CREO 4.0 and Intralink. This is electro-mechanical design and packaging of military defense electronics. Will be working with large equipment rack, packaging custom equipment as well as modified COTS and cable assemblies. Designs major components, or major portions of a functional system, or technically advanced prototype, promotional or specific products. Develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigates pertinent design factors. Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.
  • Individual must be technically competent in all levels of documentation and have the ability to plan and carry out work assignments of varying complexity.
  • MUST be proficient using CREO Parametric 4.0, with a solid foundation in creating and modifying parts and assemblies, large assembly management, cable assembly modeling (using the cable module in CREO), and drawing creation.
  • MUST be able to hit the ground running in CREO.
  • MUST understand and able to create drawings IAW ASME Y14.100, ASME Y14.24, ASME Y14.5- 2009 and be able to quickly learn and follow company policies and procedures for model and drawing creation.
  • MUST be experienced writing and incorporating change orders.
  • MUST be independent and able to drive tasks to closure, as well as collaborate with the engineer team as needed. Individual must be technically competent in all levels of documentation and have the ability to plan and carry out work assignments of varying complexity.
  • Requires an Associate's Degree in a technical field or its equivalent and/or eight (8) years of technically related experience.
  • Expert in the usage of the CREO Parametric cabling module.
  • Experienced writing and incorporating change orders using the ENOVIA PDM system.
  • MUST be experienced in electro-mechanical design and drafting for military applications,
  • MUST be experienced using the cable module in CREO Parametric.
  • Individual must be technically competent in all levels of documentation and have the ability to plan and carry out work assignments of varying complexity.
  • Experienced working with 19" (or larger) Equipment Racks/Cabinets.
