Job Description
The Panther Group is hiring a Design Engineer (Mechanical Review Board – MRB) to support a high-priority Air Dominance program with a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer.
This is an urgent, high-impact role supporting missile system production, where you’ll play a key role in resolving production issues, driving root cause analysis, and ensuring quality and performance across critical components.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a key contributor on the Material Review Board (MRB) for production programs
- Evaluate non-conforming hardware and determine impact to performance and quality
- Lead and support root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA)
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve issues quickly
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and part documentation
- Conduct tolerance analysis (GD&T) to support design and production decisions
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide status updates to leadership
- Drive resolution of production defects, failures, and design discrepancies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related preferred)
- 4+ years of experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance analysis
- 2+ years of experience with Creo (CAD software)
- 4+ years of experience in:
- Root cause & corrective action (RCCA)
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
- Ability to lead investigations and communicate findings to cross-functional teams
- Active Secret Clearance REQUIRED to start
- Aerospace or defense industry experience
- Experience supporting MRB or production engineering environments
- Familiarity with high-reliability or mission-critical systems
