Job Description

  1. IT Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the organization's objectives.
    • Evaluate existing systems and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Infrastructure Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of hardware, software, and networks.
    • Ensure data security and implement measures to safeguard against cybersecurity threats.
  3. Team Leadership and Management:
    • Lead and manage a small IT team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
    • Delegate tasks effectively and foster a collaborative work environment.
  4. Budgeting and Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
    • Evaluate and procure necessary technology resources within budgetary constraints.
  5. IT Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Establish protocols for IT support and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  6. Policy Development and Compliance:
    • Develop IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Implement best practices for data privacy, security, and compliance.
  7. Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with external vendors, negotiating contracts and service agreements.
    • Evaluate and recommend third-party solutions or services when necessary.
  8. Training and Documentation:
    • Conduct training sessions to enhance employees' IT skills and awareness.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience (5 years) in a leadership role within IT management.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and systems used in non-profit environments is advantageous.
