Job Description


The Panther Group is seeking a skilled Electronic Assembler II to support our client, a leader in advanced aerospace and defense electronics. This is a fully onsite position working in a high-tech, cleanroom production environment. You’ll be part of a team building and assembling complex electronic components used in cutting-edge systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hand soldering, rework, and assembly of electronic and electromechanical components
  • Assemble, modify, and repair subassemblies following detailed work instructions and schematics
  • Install connectors, apply epoxy (tack bonding), and complete precision assembly tasks
  • Inspect components and completed assemblies to ensure quality and IPC standards compliance
  • Utilize tools such as solder reflow ovens, pick-and-place machines, and measurement systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and process documentation
  • Maintain accuracy and quality in a fast-paced production environment
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (electronics assembly, soldering, or similar) OR trade school training
  • Strong hand soldering experience (required)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
  • Comfortable working onsite in a cleanroom/manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, etc.)
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Must be comfortable working 2nd shift (4/10 schedule)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with IPC Class 3 soldering standards
  • Certifications such as IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 (Modules 1, 3, 6 highly preferred)
  • Experience with:
    • Selective soldering or wave soldering
    • AOI / AXI (X-ray) inspection
    • Rework and repair of electronic assemblies
    • Epoxy/tack bonding applications
  • Familiarity with MRP systems and electronic manufacturing processes
