Electronics Assembler (2nd Shift)

Job Description


The Panther Group is hiring Electronic Assemblers for a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in Austin, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a clean, high-tech manufacturing environment assembling advanced electronic products used in mission-critical applications.

We're looking for candidates with electronics assembly experience, strong hand soldering skills, and a commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble electronic and electromechanical products following engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Perform precision hand soldering of electronic components.
  • Assemble SMT and through-hole circuit boards.
  • Perform self-inspection to verify workmanship and product quality.
  • Inspect parts and materials for defects before assembly.
  • Utilize fixtures to accurately build electronic assemblies.
  • Operate solder reflow ovens, semi-automatic pick-and-place equipment, and automated measurement systems.
  • Support AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) processes.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Work in a clean room manufacturing environment while following ESD and quality procedures.
  • Maintain production accuracy while meeting daily production goals.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school education required.
  • Previous electronics assembly experience preferred.
  • Hand soldering experience required.
  • Experience assembling printed circuit boards (PCB).
  • Experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
  • Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and assembly drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) experience.
  • Experience operating SMT pick-and-place equipment.
  • IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification.
  • Experience using solder reflow ovens.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to become solder certified.
Pay up to $26.61 per hour DOE
