Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes and subassemblies per customer requirement.
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of material.
- Drill or tap holes to mount control units or to provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments.
- Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
- Complete point-to-point wiring, and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, switches, etc.
- Red-line documentation as necessary to initiate ECOs through Engineering.
- Perform operations such as deburring, grinding & sawing. Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within plant.
- Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed. Â
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a High School Education. Â
- Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desiredÂ
- 3+ years’ experience in control panel building, wiring, reading schematics and electrical diagrams. An understanding of electrical currents.
- Highly motivated, detail oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.Â
- Mechanical installation and electrical wiring for control panels and desks.Â
- Experience using hand tools to drill, tap, and assemble electrical panel is a must.Â
