Job Description
The Panther Group is seeking Inspector II (Quality / Dimensional Inspectors) to support a leading manufacturing client in Aiken, SC. This is a great opportunity to join a team focused on precision, quality, and delivering high-impact work in a production environment.
In this role, you will perform inspections on machined and welded components to ensure they meet blueprint and quality standards prior to shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections on machined and welded parts
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and scales
- Interpret and inspect parts according to engineering drawings and blueprints
- Support shop floor quality audits and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify non-conforming materials and communicate findings to production teams
- Experience using basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work a weekend shift (3x12 schedule)
- Experience with Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM)
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with weld inspection
- Familiarity with Faro Arm, Laser Tracker, or Keyence systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of related inspection or manufacturing experience preferred
Pay up to $27.20 per hour DOE
