Job Description

Our client is seeking skilled and innovative Power Electronics Product Engineer to join a high-performing team developing next-generation power conversion technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge power components and systems, contributing to the definition, design, and support of innovative solutions used in advanced applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify functionality and performance of new power components at the system level.
  • Define and validate design tools to enable and streamline customer development.
  • Design, simulate, prototype, and optimize power systems using advanced power components.
  • Evaluate new products and contribute to the development of technical documentation, including datasheets and specifications.
  • Create and test reference designs and evaluation PCBs.
  • Support definition and refinement of new power component architectures and features.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize customer applications and provide hands-on support as needed.
  • Work both independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams on product development and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Contribute to the creation of application notes, design guides, and tools that enable customers to simulate and configure power solutions.
  • Assist in the development of online tools and expert systems that aid customers in system design and validation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience designing AC-DC or DC-DC power supplies or working with related power components.
  • Solid understanding of analog circuit design and system-level thinking.
  • Experience simulating power systems (e.g., using SPICE-based or system-level tools) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with power electronics lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, EMI analyzers, programmable loads and sources, etc.).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with power system issues.
  • Good understanding of control systems, EMI, and embedded microcontroller-based designs is a plus.
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn relevant design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, Simetrix, MATLAB, PowerDC).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting technical content.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
