Job Description


The Panther Group is seeking an early-career to mid-level Reliability Engineer to support advanced aerospace and defense programs in Orlando, FL. This is an outstanding opportunity for an engineer with hands-on experience in FMECA, reliability analysis, accelerated life testing, and failure physics who is looking to grow within a highly technical, mission-critical environment.

This role is ideal for candidates passionate about identifying reliability risks early, improving lifecycle performance, and driving engineering quality through data-driven analysis and testing.
What You’ll Do
  • Conduct detailed Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) for components and subassemblies
  • Create and maintain FMECA worksheets in accordance with:
    • MIL-STD-1629A
    • IEC 60812
    • Internal reliability standards
  • Identify:
    • Failure modes
    • Root causes
    • System impacts
    • Criticality rankings
    • Mitigation strategies
  • Develop and execute accelerated life testing and reliability validation plans using:
    • Arrhenius models
    • Coffin-Manson models
    • Thermal cycling methodologies
  • Coordinate with internal labs, engineers, and program teams on test execution
  • Analyze large data sets to generate actionable reliability insights
  • Support lifecycle updates, lessons learned, and ongoing product reliability improvements
  • Assist with documentation, technical presentations, and reporting
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronics Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Related technical field
  • 1–3 years of hands-on reliability engineering experience
  • Experience with:
    • Component-level FMECA
    • Accelerated aging / thermal cycling
    • Root cause analysis
    • Risk assessment
    • Reliability standards (MIL-STD-1629A, IEC 60812)
    • ASTM / IEC / MIL test methods
  • Strong technical writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain documentation accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Experience with:
    • Cameo or Model-Based Engineering tools
    • ReliaSoft
    • Weibull++
    • ANSYS Reliability
    • Minitab
    • Python or R
  • Hardware testing and troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of degradation mechanisms and material behavior under stress
  • Subcontractor management or supplier reliability support
Pay up to $46.11 per hour DOE
