The Panther Group is seeking a detail-oriented HR Administrative Assistant to support a leading university’s Human Resources and Talent Acquisition team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, supporting recruitment efforts, and ensuring compliance across HR processes.
You’ll serve as a key point of contact for HR-related inquiries while assisting with onboarding, I-9 processing, and coordination across multiple departments. Key Responsibilities
Provide Tier 1 support for I-9 inquiries via email and ServiceNow
Assist with I-9 processing, corrections, and E-Verify troubleshooting
Maintain and support users within the I-9 Service Center
Coordinate with vendors to track and resolve system issues
Schedule interviews and phone screens for Talent Acquisition
Conduct reference checks for new hires
Respond to HR-related inquiries from internal stakeholders
Support compliance activities, including background check reviews and record maintenance
Deliver excellent customer service across HR functions
Qualifications
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Customer-service mindset with a collaborative approach
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in Human Resources or HR Administration
Experience with I-9 processing and compliance
Familiarity with HR systems (Workday preferred)
Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
