Job Description


The Panther Group is seeking a W2 Contract (6 months with potential to extend), Hybrid (3 days on site in Boston, MA),  Digital Solutions Engineer to support a University's Information Technology Services Department. This is a highly technical, implementation-focused role.

This role is ideal for a candidate with strong hands-on experience in automation, AI/LLM technologies, and Microsoft Power Platform, who enjoys building solutions that streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.

This role does not accept Visas (OPT, H1B, ect) and does not work with C2C (Corp to Corp) or third party recruiters)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and implement digital solutions based on requirements gathered by Digital Solutions Consultants.

  • Develop process automations and workflows using Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, ServiceNow, and other tools.

  • Configure and deploy collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other M365 tools.

  • Build integrations via APIs and connect enterprise systems to create seamless workflows.

  • Develop digital productivity solutions using modern tools and automation technologies.

  • Implement technical AV solutions for collaboration spaces, including Microsoft Teams Room Systems.

  • Translate conceptual designs into technical build plans and ensure quality through testing and documentation.

  • Collaborate with IT teams when advanced development or system integration is required.

  • Provide end-user guidance, training, and technical support for deployed solutions.

  • Maintain accessibility and inclusive design standards across all solutions.

  • Support occasional after-hours needs for critical incidents, deployments, or urgent system issues.

  • Perform additional duties and project work as business needs evolve.
Top Technical Skills (Required)

  • Strong hands-on experience with AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and machine learning implementations.

  • Advanced expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).

  • Proficiency with API integrations and enterprise system connectivity.

  • Solid understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design.

  • PowerShell scripting experience for automation and administration.
Core Competencies

  • Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical implementations.

  • Ability to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

  • Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.

  • Clear communication and ability to provide technical consultation to end users.

  • Comfortable with iterative development and starting simple before scaling.
Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, Outlook, etc.).

  • Professional experience designing, testing, and deploying digital solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

  • Experience documenting technical solutions for knowledge transfer.

  • Understanding of information security best practices.

  • Ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.

Preferred:

  • Experience in higher education or a similarly complex environment.

  • Familiarity with AV technologies, especially Microsoft Teams Room Systems.

  • Knowledge of API integration techniques.

  • Experience configuring ServiceNow.

  • Scrum/Agile environment experience.

  • ITIL v4 or higher certification.

    Pay Rate: $80 - $85 per  hour DOE
