IT Operations Support Specialist – Temporary Assignment
 

Responsibilities
  • Accurate handling of (daily) IT operational tasks, standard IT processes and end user support (including trading room)
  • Actively driving forward and supporting of local and head-office managed projects and activities for implementation and update of processes, applications and infrastructures
  • Maintaining local server room and IT infrastructures (LAN, WAN, patching etc.), including necessary documentation updates
  • Following global policies as set forth by the management to support and manage user access requests (incl. physical access) as well as ensuring global and local policies are complied with
  • Supporting and management of user access requests (incl. physical access) according to global policy
  • Enhancement and professionalization of Business Continuity Plan infrastructure and process
Required
  • At least five years’ experience of IT operation in a major banking environment including trading floor support
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructures; knowledge of business continuity planning and disaster recovery (technically and organizationally) will be an advantage
  • Profound understanding of operational ITIL processes (e.g. incident management, configuration management, change management), ITIL/CPIT certification is an advantage
Desired skill set
  • University graduates in Computer Science or related disciplines
  • Analytic thinking and procedural working approach.
  • Good implementation strength, focusing on goals to be achieved.
  • Great team player, willing to integrate in a well-established local team of IT experts
  • Proactive working attitude, active tracking and driving of topics, willingness to learn, to develop and to take over new roles, take over responsibilities especially towards IT compliance related matters as a mid-term perspective
  • Ability to manage user expectations within the framework of existing IT policies and standards
  • Willingness to occasionally work on weekends and out of business hours when required
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing in English (and local language if applicable), ability to communicate in German is an advantage
Pay $30.00 to $35.00 an hour
