Job Description

We are hiring an experienced IT Senior Project Manager to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, and business customers to drive project success and deliver exceptional results.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record of managing large-scale projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance.
  • Candidates must be able to reliability commute to Sterling Heights Michigan for this role. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with processes
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies to minimize impact on project success.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication, providing regular updates and reports to leadership, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices, company standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and tools, leveraging industry best practices.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Proven success managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications.
  • Experience in running IT projects in support of a Manufacturing organization.
  • Familiarity with change management principles and tools.

Work Environment:
  • Office-based with the potential for hybrid/remote work options.
Pay $55 - $62 / hour W2 depending on experience
