Job Description

Our client, a well-established financial services company, is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented individual who is eager to take on new challenges and grow within an expanding IT role.

Responsibilities:

Desktop Support – The candidate will provide comprehensive on-site desktop support in a primarily Windows-based environment.
MSP Collaboration – The role involves assisting with managing the daily inventory and ensuring the completion of all service requests directed to our managed service provider (MSP) for desktop support, phones, printers, as well as supporting MSP-driven Cybersecurity, Server, and Network projects.
Ticket Management – The candidate will be responsible for logging user requests in the ticketing system, tracking progress, and analyzing response times and trends.
Development Team Collaboration – The candidate will work closely with the Development Team and external consultants to ensure the proper infrastructure setup and account access.
Vendor Coordination – The role will involve liaising with various infrastructure-related vendors for hardware procurement.

Qualifications:

3-5+ years of experience in desktop support within a Windows-based environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Azure, Office 365 (including Email and Teams), and On-Premises Active Directory/Exchange.
Ability to lead and manage IT-related projects with an organized, collaborative approach.
Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) and other secure methods of connecting to third-party cloud-based services.
Experience with networking and server provisioning projects.
Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
Bonus skills include familiarity with SharePoint, SQL, and AWS.
