Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
This Infrastructure Engineer role will maintain and implement systems, equipment, software, and processes necessary to support the organization’s infrastructure. This person will:
- Be responsible for data center platforms throughout each stage of their lifecycle.
- Actively participate in a tiered support model to help resolve Tier I – Tier III issues.
- Review diagnostic logs, events, and alerting to assist in problem resolution or escalation.
- Participate in business resumption readiness exercises to validate documentation and procedures with business partners.
- Partner with vendors to create roadmaps that follow industry standards and validate platform health.
- Work towards gaining efficiencies through automation where applicable.
- Assist business line teams as they are onboarding new systems, products, and processes that leverage infrastructure services.
- 2+ years configuring, installing and troubleshooting various infrastructure elements. Must have a working knowledge of basic concepts around network, server, client and telephony. Exposure to troubleshooting approaches, configuration management, and change control procedures with recovery paths. Experience creating and managing documentation, following standard operating procedures and general system maintenance. Required

- Experience with: Hybrid Cloud, Hyper Converged Cloud, Dell Power Flex, VMware, Data Systems platforms and knowing their lifecycles, Logic Monitor, Storage Networking, Automation Tools like Vrealize, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub. Preferred
Education:
- Associate's Degree Computer Science or Telecommunications/Data Networking Required
- Bachelor's Degree CIS or Business Administration Preferred
- Hybrid cloud computing, hyperconverged systems, networking, and/or Infrastructure as Code certifications Preferred
