Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer of precision components for the Aerospace industry is seeking someone who specializes in machining high-performance materials, primarily titanium alloys. The individual will develop and support CNC machining processes for complex, multi-axis machining centers.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, verify, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis milling and turning centers using CREO Manufacturing or similar CAD/CAM platforms.
  • Define manufacturing processes, tooling strategies, workholding methods, and machining sequences for new and existing products.
  • Support new product introductions by translating customer models, drawings, and specifications into effective machining plans.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot machining issues, improve cycle times, and enhance part quality.
  • Ensure all CNC programs and process documentation comply with customer requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities, including process optimization, tooling upgrades, and standardization initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software; CREO Parametric / CREO Manufacturing preferred, but experience with comparable platforms (Mastercam, NX, Fusion 360, CATIA, etc.) will be considered.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply customer engineering documentation, including 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Hands-on understanding of CNC machining principles, cutting tools, feeds/speeds, and machining best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to follow direction and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with titanium and other hard-to-machine alloys is highly preferred.
  • Background in aerospace manufacturing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with multi-axis machining (3-5-axis).
