We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our close-knit engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on both new product development and redesign projects for custom machinery and equipment. What You'll Be Doing
- Design and develop new machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems using SolidWorks.
- Modify and redesign legacy equipment and components using AutoCAD to support new applications and customer requirements.
- Work on a variety of projects ranging from quick-turn engineering changes to long-term product development initiatives.
- Design components and assemblies involving rotary and continuous-motion equipment.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, assembly, and service teams to ensure designs are functional, manufacturable, and cost-effective.
- Create detailed drawings, bills of materials, and engineering documentation.
- Participate in machine testing, troubleshooting, and design validation.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and project objectives.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to existing products and equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 1-2+ years of experience designing machinery, automation equipment, or industrial equipment.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks for new product development.
- Experience using AutoCAD for legacy drawings and design modifications.
- Experience designing rotary motion and/or continuous motion equipment strongly preferred.
- Packaging machinery experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in understanding how machines operate.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines and priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Work in a family-oriented environment where your ideas and contributions matter.
