Job Description
The Panther Group is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to support our client in Wayne, NJ. This is a great opportunity for someone with inspection experience who enjoys working in a precision manufacturing environment and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout production.
This role offers a consistent first-shift schedule, overtime opportunities, and the chance to work with a respected organization in the electronic systems industry.
Key Responsibilities

Perform visual and mechanical inspections of assemblies during the production process

Use precision measuring tools to verify product quality and specifications

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and process documentation

Ensure all products meet quality standards and compliance requirements

Document inspection results and report any defects or discrepancies

Support continuous improvement by identifying quality concerns

Maintain a clean and organized inspection/work area

Minimum 1+ year of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, or work instructions

Experience using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

High school diploma or equivalent

U.S. Citizenship required

Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment
Pay up to $27.75 per hour DOE
