Job Description
The Panther Group is currently seeking a Press Operator for a contract to hire opportunity with a respected manufacturing company. The Press Operator will perform setup and first piece operations for blanking, bending, punching, and forming of metal components based on blueprints and other instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set-up and run first piece operations of the press machines.
- Collaborate with the Machine Shop Supervisor to correct first piece inspection discrepancies.
- Operate hydraulic presses to blank, punch, and form metallic components.
- Set up and operate forming/secondary equipment to form metal to the desired shape.
- Ensure safety procedures are being followed at all times.
- Deburr/tumble.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
- 1-3 years of related experience required.
- Specialized training or certification preferred.
- Experience operating presses and bending equipment.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to multi-task and follow directions.
- Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Position does not require any previous experience working with office software.
Pay $23 - $26 / hour depending on experience
