Job Description


The Scheduler will be responsible for inventory control, database maintenance, and processing government returns.

 DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required:

Schedule all ALSS tasks via ALSS Work Orders.
Input work order data to computerized work order system.
Distribute hard copies to internal departments as required.
Assist in the processing and scheduling of all contract orders for end items, spares, repairs, etc.
Maintain Senior Year (SY) projects computerized files.
Generate and maintain computerized data files of all scheduled work status.
Perform file maintenance as required.
Publish periodic in-house and contract required reports of all scheduled work status.
Assist in the preparation of monthly sales forecasts reports.
Assist in the control and coordination of receiving/shipping of all materials and end items to/from the ALSS Department.
Perform data entry into Contractor Automated Logistics Management Support System (CALMSS) and Bonded Stock Inventory Module computer systems.
Maintain pressure suit inventory data files (including historical data) and publish reports as required.  
Perform file maintenance as required.
Other duties as required.
 
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY: 
Employee works under general supervision.
Employee makes decisions within clearly prescribed areas referring matters that fall outside that area to others.
The employee has little or no impact on the decisions of others.
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Does not have any supervisory responsibility.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Knowledge of MRP, ALMSS, and WAWF desired.
Attention to detail. 
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Position requires employee to utilize and understand simple formatting and use of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
High School or GED required. 
0-1 Year experience.
Knowledge of work flow in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Potential need for a SECRET level security clearance if contracts dictate.
Basic, introductory on-the-job training.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. 

Physical Demands/Efforts
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to physically move product between stock rooms and production areas. 
Physical exertion typical of moving products through the production line and between stockrooms
Occasional physical exertion including some lifting of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
 
Mental & Visual Demands
Work is routine and consistent from day to day. 
Work requires some degree of visual effort for periods of time.
 
Work Environment and Hazards
Some areas of the building are not climate controlled.
Working environment is typical of an office setting. 
Absence of hazards.
