Job Description


The Panther Group has an immediate need for a Production Team Lead in the Nashua, NH area.  This is a contract to hire opportunity!

This job is considered to be a hands-on leadership position in which an individual is expected to provide assistance to the Production Manager/ Supervisor and or VP of Operations. The individual will work as a part of a team, coordinating work activities, maintaining compliance to procedures, performing quality control checks, acting as a technical lead for first level problems, moving product into and out of the work area, assisting with the preparation of product for return to the contracting customer and assuming a role as a laser operator when necessary or practical.

Responsibilities:
  •  Relate to staff members and workers in an ethical manner.
  • Accurately prepare documents, production sheets and other reports and related paperwork as required by the contracting customer.
  • Maintain discipline, a safe working environment, and compliance of procedures related to job specifications. Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Motivate workers within the team to perform to the best of their abilities. 
  • Assigns individuals to specific job tasks and ensures that tasks are assigned based on the individual capabilities. 
  • Capable of perceiving problems as they develop and communicating such to their individual supervisor. 
  • Responsible for all workers assigned to his/her specific work area. 
  • Coordinate the work activities of workers in order to allow them to achieve proper training and improve their vocational skills for gainful employment through productive work. 
  • Demonstrate job duties to workers and observe the performance of workers in the production team to ensure compliance with procedures and safety regulations.
  • Encourage all members of the production team to stay on task and remain at their workstation. 
  • Communicate objectives and expectations as well as results to all staff regularly.
  • Responsible for monitoring the quality standards of the contracts performed in their work area.
  •  Keep workers supplied with material and supplies necessary to complete work tasks. 
  • Use designated area for storage of materials and completed contract work. 
  • Count and record production work on daily production sheets and transfer such to the customer databases or customer profile. Ensure all daily reports are on time and the data is accurate
  • Responsible for preparation of shipment of finished goods to contracting customers. 
  • Keep their supervisor apprised of issues related to contract performance including delays, which could cause contracts from being completed on time. 
  • Employee must conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner and is responsible for maintaining a high standard of conduct and job performance.
  • As a Team Leader, communicates worker performance as such would be related to quality/quantity aspects to allow for proper recognition of work evaluations. 
  • Communicate workshop policy and rules to workers. Responsible for safety of those workers in his/her work area via implementation of the safety procedures and policies of the organization. Investigate and report findings of accidents to immediate supervisor.
  • Recognize the need for work adaptations such as job set up, and fixtures to meet the needs of each specific contract and to refer such to their individual supervisor.

Required Qualifications
  • 3 years of previous experience in production.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Leadership skills (communication, motivating, coaching)
  • Inventory management skills preferred
Pay is $22.18-$33.17 per hour Depending on Experience
