The Panther Group is recruiting for a Project Coordinator with excellent organizational skills, is able to communicate with all Stakeholder levels and is proficient with JIRA. This position is remote 100%, so this person needs to be able to help keep multiple groups organized and on-schedule via MS Teams in a dynamic environment.
Project Coordinator
This Project Coordinator will be part of the The Project Management Office (PMO) is looking for individuals to join as a resource to be assigned as needed. Assignment can be with any department within the state of Maine; dependent on need. You will report directly to the project management office.
The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager (PM).
Role Description:
Assist in the development of estimates for the enhancement or development effort in analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
Assist the Project Manager in tracking project priorities utilizing the
Ticket Management System: managing the volume, including finalizing the reconciliation of Requirement and BPA tickets to the testing tickets. Identify and coordinate resolution/mitigation of issues and risks, escalating in a timely manner. Responsible for delivery of all work tasks identified in the project plan.
Responsible for the capture and reporting of required project metrics. You will proactively manage the required documentation for the project related to analysis, development and testing. Track the project progress against the project plan. Assist the PM with schedule coordination; tracking meetings, ensuring cross-functional attendance, etc. across multiple teams and SMEs
Monitor project milestones and phases to ensure the project is on schedule.
Recommend corrective actions if a project begin to slip its schedule. Assist in the preparation of Project status reports on a periodic basis for the PM and appropriate stakeholders. Manage work efforts across multiple application teams.
Able to monitor the project plan for the development effort. Assist in the final project management evaluation review with stakeholders for approval upon project completion. Arrange stakeholder meetings; coordinate with client to arrange the meetings for PMs. Notify team leads of project timelines and milestones. Communicate and work with users and client as necessary.
Analyze and compile project metrics associated with work items related to improvement measures. Finally, ensure processes and activities are followed.
Job Requirements:
Jira/Confluence proficiency strongly preferred.
Project Coordinator should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Project Coordinator should be able to effectively manage and prioritize a variety of tasks/assignments in a dynamic environment.
Experience working with a variety of resources across various IT functions (both locally and remotely).
Experience effectively managing meetings with a variety of local and remote participants.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Positive attitude with a collaborative approach to working with various resources.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Project and SharePoint).
Experience working in an Agile/Iterative Environment is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Visio is a plus.
Experience working within a formal project management methodology / PMO is a plus.
