Our client is seeking a hands-on Quality Supervisor to lead and enhance the Quality Management System for a dynamic manufacturing organization. This role emphasizes practical application of quality tools, development and delivery of training, and implementation of systems that build organizational knowledge while driving measurable improvements in processes, products, and overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process capability studies, statistical process control (SPC), and measurement system analysis (e.g., Gage R&R).
Support management with root cause analysis and development of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Develop and deliver training programs to build consistent understanding of quality tools, techniques, and best practices.
Serve as a backup quality management representative and provide guidance in the absence of the QA leadership.
Lead or participate in cross-functional process improvement teams, sharing hands-on knowledge to resolve quality issues.
Maintain systems for tracking process performance metrics and use data to drive internal improvements.
Facilitate effective SPC processes and ensure statistical analysis supports product and process monitoring.
Promote a data-driven culture by partnering with departments to properly use quality metrics.
Maintain current knowledge of quality concepts and share expertise across the organization.
Provide input for qualification of new equipment and manufacturing processes.
Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve performance, and enhance environmental sustainability.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulatory requirements.
Support environmental initiatives through waste reduction, energy conservation, and adherence to sustainability practices.
Complete additional projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment required; 7+ years preferred.
Strong knowledge of quality system requirements (ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent standards).
Familiarity with total quality management principles and best practices.
Mechanical or technical manufacturing experience preferred; lab or materials knowledge is a plus.
Certifications in quality (e.g., SQE, ASP, ASME) preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
Ability to follow quality and operational procedures, adapt to changing business needs, and collaborate across teams.
Physical capability to lift 40–50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
