Job Description


The Panther Group is seeking experienced Senior Reliability Engineers to support a high-impact defense program in Orlando, FL. This is an exciting opportunity for engineers with strong expertise in FMECA, accelerated life testing, and reliability analysis to play a critical role in ensuring product durability, lifecycle performance, and mission success.

This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in failure analysis, risk mitigation, and reliability engineering standards within aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability environments.
What You’ll Do
  • Conduct detailed Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) at the component and subassembly level
  • Develop and maintain FMECA documentation in accordance with:
    • MIL-STD-1629A
    • IEC 60812
    • Internal reliability standards
  • Identify failure modes, root causes, and performance impacts while developing mitigation strategies
  • Design and execute accelerated life testing, including:
    • Thermal cycling
    • Accelerated aging
    • Arrhenius / Coffin-Manson methodologies
  • Develop reliability test plans using ASTM, IEC, and MIL standards
  • Collaborate with:
    • Design Engineering
    • Material Science
    • Test Labs
    • Program Management
  • Analyze large data sets to identify trends and support design improvements
  • Support technical presentations, reporting, and documentation control throughout the product lifecycle
What You Bring
  • Active Secret Clearance (required to start)
  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Related technical field
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on reliability engineering experience
  • Strong expertise in:
    • FMECA
    • Accelerated aging / thermal cycling
    • Failure physics
    • Root cause analysis
    • Reliability standards (MIL-STD-1629A, IEC 60812, etc.)
  • Experience developing and interpreting test plans using ASTM / IEC / MIL methods
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent programs and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with:
    • ReliaSoft
    • Weibull++
    • ANSYS Reliability
    • Minitab
    • Python / R
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Engineering tools (Cameo or similar)
  • Hardware testing and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience supporting subcontractors or cross-functional reliability teams
Pay $56.20 per hour DOE
