Job Description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile software development teams in delivering high-quality solutions through iterative development practices. This role will facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach teams on Scrum principles, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement across multiple cross-functional teams.  This is a remote position that will sit in EST or CST time zones. 

The ideal candidate is a servant leader with strong facilitation skills, experience working in complex Agile environments, and a passion for helping teams improve delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Agile Team Facilitation
  • Serve as Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and best practices.
  • Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Help teams identify and remove obstacles that impact productivity and delivery.
Agile Coaching & Continuous Improvement
  • Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive meaningful retrospective discussions and support implementation of improvement initiatives.
Planning & Coordination
  • Support quarterly and release planning activities.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and business stakeholders to align priorities and objectives.
  • Identify, track, and help manage dependencies, risks, and blockers across teams.
Metrics & Delivery Excellence
  • Monitor Agile delivery metrics such as velocity, cycle time, predictability, and quality indicators.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve team performance and delivery effectiveness.
  • Promote transparency through effective reporting and communication.
Agile Tools & Process Optimization
  • Utilize Agile project management tools to support backlog management, sprint planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Encourage adoption of modern collaboration and productivity tools to improve team efficiency and communication.
  • Support process improvements that enhance visibility, alignment, and delivery outcomes.
Quality & DevOps Collaboration
  • Promote Agile practices that support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and quality-focused development.
  • Partner with engineering teams to align Agile processes with delivery and release objectives.
  • Encourage testing and quality assurance practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery professional supporting software development teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum principles, and Agile metrics.
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using Agile project management tools and reporting platforms.
Preferred
  • Scrum certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting multiple Agile teams in a scaled Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps practices, and CI/CD concepts.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled productivity tools to improve Agile delivery and team collaboration.
