Job Description


The Senior Accountant plays a key role in the financial management of our client. S/he will prepare andmaintain financial records to track the firm s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. S/he will also provide essential financial analyses to support the firm s objectives, and will serve as a vital member of the Finance Committee.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable / Contract Management

Maintain accurate schedule of project invoicing to ensure timely billing of all accounts receivable

Prepare and review monthly client invoices that include accurate fee generation and billable client expenses

Maintain cloud storage of client project contracts and manage client and job codes in client database

Record client electronic and bank check account payments

Follow-up on all outstanding receivables of firm; communicate with client teams on outstanding A/R when appropriate Accounts Payable / Vendor Management

Review and approve employee expense reports

Prepare and process weekly ACH employee reimbursements and other vendor payments

Reconcile firm s corporate credit card account with office administration staff

Ensure compliance with all new vendors (W9, ACH info, etc.)General Ledger / Tax

Liaise with international branch offices in accumulation of monthly financial results and other accounting matters (i.E. Foreign exchange issues, general ledger reconciliation, foreign tax, etc.)

Reconcile monthly general ledger accounts including firm s deferred revenue account and accrual accounts

Enter monthly journal entries such as payroll, benefits, fixed assets, etc.

Reconcile monthly revenue recognition and associated analysis

Assist in the preparation of quarterly/annual financial review of tax schedules and liaise with firm s tax preparation/accounting firm

Proactively maintain month-end financial close process; work collaboratively with leadership team to ensure accurate reporting of firm s financial results Ad Hoc Analyses

Other Work with HR to prepare semi-monthly employee payroll

Oversee data integrity of internally developed cloud relational database of work processes and project budget activity

Act as the firm s resource for all client project budgeting and staffing questions

Prepare and maintain firm s utilization and capacity reporting

Create and generate firm s staffing and client profitability reports from project database; present analysis and reporting to senior executives

Generate analysis of the firm s business development efforts

Provide backfill of responsibilities for Director of Finance and Controller during absences

Prepare and maintain monthly dashboard of firm s financial metrics



REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree or higher in accounting or finance

At least 4 years experience working in a professional services firm

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Personal integrity when working with sensitive financial information

Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise preferred
