We're looking for an experienced Senior General Ledger Accountant to support our accounting team during a five-month assignment. If you enjoy solving complex accounting challenges, reconciling accounts, and working in a collaborative environment, this could be a great opportunity.
In this role, you'll be responsible for managing intercompany transactions between multiple entities, reconciling general ledger accounts, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
What You'll Do
Record and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple legal entities.
Process and reconcile intercompany receivables, payables, inventory transfers, sales, cost of goods sold, and cross-company charges.
Prepare month-end accruals and journal entries.
Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Manage the fixed asset accounting process, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
Complete account reconciliations and assist with month-end close.
Help prepare monthly financial reporting packages.
Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Participate in special projects and other accounting responsibilities as needed.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Accounting coursework is a plus).
5+ years of General Ledger accounting experience.
Strong understanding of month-end close and account reconciliation processes.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including sorting, subtotals, and VLOOKUPs.
Experience working with ERP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics (Navision or Great Plains) is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to reconcile complex transactions with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate: Up to $55.00 per hour depending on experience
