The Panther Group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a hybrid contract to hire opportunity in Boston, MA. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative data and analytics team supporting enterprise-wide data initiatives, CRM optimization, and system integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis experience, advanced SQL skills, Salesforce knowledge, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
Position Overview
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will serve as a key partner to leadership in Data Strategy & Analytics, supporting data infrastructure, system integrations, Salesforce data model enhancements, and business process improvements. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring data flows, integrations, and system configurations are accurately documented and effectively implemented.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and experience working with enterprise data environments.
What You'll Be Doing Data Mapping & Documentation
  • Create and maintain field-level data mapping documentation across multiple systems.
  • Develop source-to-target mappings, data flow diagrams, and field relationship documentation.
  • Translate business and reporting requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for integrations, migrations, and system enhancements.
  • Support technical teams during system upgrades and implementation projects.
Data Integration Support
  • Monitor and support data integrations across enterprise platforms.
  • Assist with troubleshooting integration issues, data migration errors, and mapping discrepancies.
  • Develop user stories, use cases, and testing scenarios.
  • Maintain project documentation, requirements, issue logs, and testing results.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business needs are reflected in technical solutions.
Salesforce Data Model Support
  • Support Salesforce data model design, object configuration, and schema documentation.
  • Analyze the impact of system changes and enhancements.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for data model optimization and process improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with business users, technology teams, and leadership to gather requirements and improve processes.
  • Participate in business process reviews and system planning initiatives.
  • Support policy, procedure, and documentation development related to data management and system usage.
  • Serve as a trusted resource on data infrastructure and system functionality.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Analysis, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Data Analyst role.
  • Strong experience with:
    • SQL
    • Salesforce
    • Data Mapping
    • System Integrations
    • Business Requirements Documentation
  • Experience creating functional specifications, user stories, and technical documentation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Snowflake.
  • Experience with Tableau or other reporting/analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration tools.
  • Experience working in fundraising, nonprofit, higher education, or complex enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with CRM implementations and data migration projects.

Pay: $46 per hour DOE
