Job Description

Senior Data Quality Developer
We are hiring a Senior Data Quality Developer for our client located in the Quincy, MA area. The person hired for this position will support enterprise data modernization and data management initiatives within a large public-sector organization.

This is a hybrid position in the Quincy, MA, area. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to this location. 

Please note: No C2C, Subcontracting or Visa Sponsorship of any kind is available for this position. 

This role will focus on developing and advancing data quality, data governance, data mastering, reporting, and analytics solutions using technologies including AWS, Snowflake, Informatica, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Python, and business intelligence tools.

The ideal candidate will work closely with data architects, engineers, business stakeholders, quality assurance teams, and analytics professionals to ensure data is accurate, reliable, accessible, and aligned with business requirements.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is highly motivated, analytical, and comfortable working across both technical and business environments. Responsibilities will include data quality validation, analysis, design, coding, testing, data extraction, reporting, and scorecard development. This individual will also help establish best practices and processes related to enterprise data quality and governance.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data quality validations, rules, and processes using programming languages and data quality tools.
  • Utilize Informatica tools for data quality, data governance, and related data management activities.
  • Configure and support Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) and Axon, including business glossaries, dashboards, policies, search capabilities, and data maps.
  • Collaborate with data stakeholders to understand data governance requirements and translate them into effective workflows and processes.
  • Apply established data quality principles and best practices to enterprise data environments.
  • Research, design, develop, and implement solutions for data mastering and data management.
  • Use Java and JavaScript to develop and enhance internally developed applications.
  • Develop and enhance web-based applications supporting data mastering and data quality initiatives.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, issues, and potential outcomes.
  • Design and develop data visualizations, reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions using BI tools such as Tableau or Cognos.
  • Perform data management, manipulation, and analysis against large-scale, multi-terabyte data warehouses.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of existing data models and enterprise data structures.
  • Extract and prepare data from large databases for analysis and reporting.
  • Review ETL processes and code and provide recommendations related to data integrity and quality.
  • Evaluate, document, and maintain technical processes, solutions, and procedures.
  • Communicate technical findings, analysis, processes, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate workflows, applications, data processes, and solutions.
  • Help establish and promote data quality standards, best practices, and repeatable processes across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise data quality tools, preferably Informatica Data Quality.
  • Experience with Informatica data governance tools or similar platforms.
  • Experience extracting, transforming, and manipulating data using programming languages.
  • Experience working with healthcare or other complex enterprise data is a plus.
  • Experience working with large-scale, multi-terabyte data warehouses.
  • Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries against large datasets.
  • 3+ years of Java development experience.
  • Experience designing and developing data visualizations, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
  • Experience developing web applications using JavaScript.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Familiarity with statistical modeling and machine learning concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify trends and evaluate potential outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
  • Understanding of cloud architecture and networking, preferably within AWS environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and communicate with both technical and business stakeholders.

Pay $67.80 to $71.40 / hour W2, Depending on experience
