Our client has an immediate opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering efforts related to the design, application, analysis, repair, and optimization of AC and DC electric motors, generators, controls, and other electrical power transmission equipment.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise and leadership for new applications and aftermarket opportunities, with a focus on engineered solutions, design enhancements, troubleshooting, and product improvements.
Perform failure analysis of motors, generators, and other related electrical equipment.
Develop and/or approve specifications, modifications, and upgrades for reverse-engineered components and replacement parts.
Support customer-facing teams in developing solutions for power transmission applications involving motors, couplings, gear drives, generators, and associated equipment.
Promote engineering best practices while safeguarding company assets, reputation, and technical standards.
Ensure the highest ethical, quality, and commercial standards are maintained.
Lead and manage electrical engineering resources to support on-time, on-specification, and on-budget project execution while adhering to established procedures and business objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 10 years of electrical engineering experience.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and organization.
Strong leadership and talent development skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams.
Strong systems-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of ERP systems (Epicor experience preferred).
Experience in the design, manufacturing, testing, repair, and application of AC and DC electric motors, motor-generator (MG) sets, generators, and associated control systems is highly desirable.
Familiarity with applicable industry standards such as IEEE, NEMA, EASA, or equivalent.
Prior engineering leadership or management experience a plus.
