Job Description


The Panther Group is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst for a 7-month consulting opportunity supporting a leading university environment in Boston, MA. This is a highly visible, hands-on role focused on enterprise systems, business process analysis, application integrations, and technology solution delivery across complex IT environments.

Not open to C2C or third party agencies.  No Visa sponsorship for this role. 

This position is ideal for an experienced IT Business Analyst who thrives in cross-functional environments and enjoys partnering with both business stakeholders and technical teams to drive scalable technology solutions.
What You’ll Do
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements
  • Analyze current-state systems, workflows, and infrastructure to identify process improvements and integration opportunities
  • Translate business needs into user stories, technical requirements, workflows, and solution specifications
  • Lead and support enterprise system integration initiatives involving APIs, middleware, and third-party platforms
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and performance standards
  • Facilitate solution design and requirements sessions across cross-functional teams
  • Develop business process documentation, workflow diagrams, data flows, and future-state system maps
  • Participate in vendor evaluations, implementation planning, and RFP-related activities
  • Support QA and UAT efforts, including test case development and validation of end-to-end workflows
  • Monitor post-implementation performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor junior analysts and support business analysis best practices and standards
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst supporting enterprise systems and integrations
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements
  • Experience with business process modeling, workflow analysis, and solution documentation
  • Solid understanding of:
    • APIs
    • system integrations
    • middleware technologies
    • enterprise application interoperability
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts including:
    • networks
    • servers
    • cloud platforms
    • security protocols
  • Experience with tools such as:
    • JIRA
    • Confluence
    • Visio
    • Lucidchart
    • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, ITIL, or TOGAF
  • Experience with platforms such as:
    • ServiceNow
    • Workday
    • Salesforce
    • SAP
  • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience working within Agile or DevOps environments
Pay is $69.93-$90.91 per hour DOE
