Job Description
The Panther Group is seeking a Senior Payroll Assistant to support a high-volume payroll operations team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident handling complex payroll transactions and employee inquiries.
***Not open to C2C or third party agencies. No Visa sponsorship for this role. Must be able to get a US Security Clearance if required***
This role offers remote flexibility (local candidates to Lakeland, FL strongly preferred) and the chance to work with a dynamic and collaborative payroll team.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process U.S. payroll transactions in a high-volume environment
- Support in-house payroll processing, including:
- Final pay calculations
- Retroactive pay adjustments
- Tax balance corrections
- Overpayments and benefit balancing
- Deduction and arrears setup
- Prepare and process W-2 corrections (W2c’s)
- Respond to Tier 2 payroll inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders
- Maintain payroll records and documentation for audit and tracking purposes
- Partner with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies quickly and accurately
- Proven experience working in a high-volume payroll environment
- Strong ability to respond quickly and accurately to payroll inquiries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Prior experience supporting Tier 2 payroll inquiries
- Experience with payroll adjustments, corrections, and compliance processes
Pay up to $25.36 per hour DOE
