Job Description: Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
-BS degree in engineering, applied mathematics, physics, robotic systems, artificial intelligence or closely related technical field and 5 years of professional level career experience.
-8+ years in software and/or aligned systems engineering is required.
-Significant experience with modeling & simulation, preferably with AFSIM or similar platforms is required.
-Experience with simulation utilizing robotic specific platforms and/or integrating heterogeneous simulation systems is desired.
-Experience with Software Systems Engineering including requirement decomposition, verification, validation, requirement analysis and hard/software integration is highly desired.
-Significant experience with development utilizing C++, Python, and/or similar technologies in waterfall and/or agile environments is required along with knowledge of the software engineering life cycle.
-Experience with Mission Planning is highly desired.
-Experience with specifying, designing, implementation and/or testing individual and/or collaborative autonomy solutions is highly desired.
