Job Description
Our client, a leading aerospace and advanced manufacturing company, is seeking a Sr. Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end supply chain operations across a strategic business unit.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies that improve cost, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead supplier selection, development, negotiations, and performance management to ensure a reliable, high-performing supply base.
- Manage procurement activities, material planning, inventory, and supplier relationships to optimize supply continuity and total cost.
- Lead and drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment across operations, manufacturing, engineering, program management, and customer demand.
- Improve inventory performance, material flow, and on-time delivery through effective planning and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support new product introductions by partnering with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and suppliers to ensure successful product launches.
- Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing supply chain team through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
- Partner with leadership to support annual operating plans, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, and security requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive supply chain, procurement, materials management, or operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience managing supply chain or procurement teams.
- Strong experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), inventory management, supplier development, and procurement strategy.
- Experience leading supplier negotiations and developing strategic supplier partnerships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial acumen with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Lean Manufacturing, APICS, ISM, CPSM, CPM, or similar certifications are a plus.
- Experience within aerospace, defense, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries is preferred.
