Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for Systems Engineering tasks focused primarily on our space product line, including: Reviewing customer system requirements and development of solutions to meet these requirements.Candidate will work closely with the customers to develop innovative solutions utilizing existing and future products. Development of enhanced Customer Interfaces Future product planning, definition, development and qualification. These plans will be based on technology and market assessments. Goal is to maintain our client's position as a technology leader for Space-based products. Prepare and present customer presentations and participate in face-to-face customer meetings and discussions regarding complex technologies Support with technical inputs for proposal generation and review of the final product. Lead special Research & Development project activities and/or investigations Provide technical guidance to the Space engineering team for implementation of the defined solutions and new product development including: Research and development of new components available in the market and definition of the potential test requirements, e.G. Radiation testing, screening, etc. Support for Engineering Design Efforts and Design Reviews Coordination and development of product development definitions and plans Required Skills Knowledge of embedded computing hardware, including real-time processors (e.G. PowerPC, ARM), Graphics, Communications and I/O and potentially DSP applications Hands on development, test and analysis experience Diverse background in electronic circuit design for embedded computer systems development Familiarity with EEE parts and up-screening (EEE-INST-002 and PEM-INST-001) preferred Understanding of radiation effects and mitigation (TID, ELDRS, SEU, SEFI, SEL) preferred Strong communication skills and able to work in a cross-functional team Ability to support and manage multi-task assignments in a small company environment Proficient with Microsoft Office tools Experience: BS and minimum of 3 years of experienceExperience with Space-based programs, a plus Experience with mil spec programs, processes and standards, a plus Education: BS in Engineering, Physics, or Math. Special Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the United States
