Job Description

TABLEAU DEVELOPER  
The Panther Group has an immediate need for a Tableau Developer.  This is a remote opportunity!

Responsibilities:
  • You will be aiding in all duties related to helping maintain and expand the Enterprise Tableau Server deployment as well as expanding and maintaining Tableau Server deployments in classified and external environments. 
  • You will gain experience in multiple facets of IT including server administration, server architecture, application management, application sustainment, and supporting Enterprise customer adoption and retention, as well as Windows/Linux server operating systems. 

Experience & Skills Required:
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in the IT field.
  • Ability to travel to support the facility and customer production facilities for approximately 6 weeks per year.
  • Familiar with application/server management.
  • Familiar with self-service applications.
  • Experience working with data sets.
  • Comfortable giving customer demos and community development.
  • Familiar with customer adoption & retention.
  • Tuned troubleshooting skills, particularly in IT.
  • Works well in a remote team environment.
  • Positive attitude and energy.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Experience and Skills Preferred:
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau Server Administration.
  • Experience with application operations/maintenance/sustainment.
  • Previous work in a classified environment.
  • Experience with Linux/Windows server operating systems.
  • Experience with creating Tableau visualizations.
  • Familiar with various database platforms (e.g. PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server).
  • Experience with data prep activities and tools (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau Prep).
  • Understands performance monitoring for a server environment (i.e. Dynatrace).
  • Experience with user community development.
  • Experience working with business communities to develop and deploy business analytics solutions.
  • Familiar with development team collaboration and code management tools. ·      
  • Familiar with AWS Cloud, physical and virtual servers, and data center operations concepts.
  • Experience programming Python/Ansible.
